The SAF Training Institute offers training packages that include a wide range of topics including: the fundamentals of addiction for healthcare professionals, trauma-based addiction, working with women and their children, assessing and treating resistant patients, and supervising line staff in fast-paced treatment environments. All of our courses cover relevant issues and teach practical application of skills.
Our workshops and seminars are designed with the Caribbean population in mind; we consider the multicultural nature of the countries and the social stigma attached to addiction and mental illness. From that perspective, we infuse our training experiences with effective strategies that your staff can use immediately with their patients. Our Global Trainer
Dr. Jerine Griffith is a Clinical Psychologist with over twenty years’ experience in the mental health field. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in traditional and non-traditional healthcare settings. At SAF she has advanced clinical programming so that currently mental health services and trauma-informed interventions are fully integrated with addiction treatment. Additionally, she formed the SAF Research Initiative, which conducts empirical studies to improve patient outcomes. Dr. Griffith and her team offer seminars that are spirited and engaging so that audiences walk away not only informed but transformed.
